Marcus Anthony, Founder
A telecommunications expert, Marc co-founded My Mobile Witness® with Scott Bullens. Originally developed in 2007 as an internal security device for private real estate firms, Marc and Scott felt there was a unique opportunity to leverage cell phone technology as a personal safety tool. Working with retired and active duty state and federal law enforcement personnel, My Mobile Witness was launched as a public safety offering in October of 2008.
Among Marc's duties are to establish policies and objectives of the company, oversee employee and customer service training, provide guidance so all programming, engineering and software/network development remains congruent with the mission and vision of the organization.
Among his more high profile projects while working at Verizon Wireless, Marc launched a 12-month data trial in partnership with G.T.E., IBM and Roadway Package Systems (now Fed-Ex Ground). Successful completion of a nationwide beta trial led to the first cellular packet data network.
Marc worked with Carnegie Mellon University and IBM on the first Personal Communication System (PCS) trial in the nation, with Carnegie Mellon University as the research entity studying consumer behavior and IBM as the first enterprise customer to commercially test the system. While at Bell Atlantic Marc directed the sale and design of 911 systems and worked with fortune 100 companies offering guidance on both wireless and landline data applications.
Marc holds a B.S. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.
Scott Bullens, Founder
Scott Bullens co-founded My Mobile Witness with Marc, providing his expertise in the area of finance.
Among Scott's responsibilities are to develop and establish policies and objectives and maintain the vision of the company. Scott is also responsible for developing and implementing company financial policies and controls; raising capital; managing relationships with investors, budgeting and forecasting, and overseeing strategies for maximizing the company's value.
With a wealth of financial experience, Scott has been employed with organizations such as Smith Barney, Direct Trading and Knight Capital Group. He currently is a partner at Hedge Fund Services (HFS) a company that provides space, trading solutions and several other services to professional money managers.
Scott holds a B.B.S. in Finance from the University of Georgia and MBA from Georgia State University.
Ron Knight, Chief Security Consultant
Ronald E. Knight is the Chief Security Consultant for My Mobile Witness. Knight possesses extensive law enforcement and security experience at the management level with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Army. His experience includes participation in such high profile crimes as the Oklahoma City bombing, Columbine school shootings in Colorado and the Texas 7 prison escapees.
He began his FBI career as a Special Agent, based in Portland, charged with the investigation of incidents of violent crime, white-collar crime and terrorism. In 1986, Knight joined the Hostage Rescue Team of the FBI, in Quantico, Virginia. There, Knight was responsible for planning and implementing security for special events and was also a Counterterrorist and hostage rescue specialist, with domestic and overseas operational experience.
From 1997 to retirement, Knight worked as a Supervisory Special Agent for the Bureau, responsible for the management and supervision of FBI offices throughout Colorado. In addition, he was a supervisor for regional Joint Terrorism Task Forces, a Squad Supervisor of a Violent Crime/Fugitive Task Force, an investigative supervisor at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics and a Deputy on Scene Commander of the FBI mission in Afghanistan.
Ron holds a B.A. in History from the University of Arizona along with Post Graduate studies from the University of Maryland.
Randall Zortman, Chief Information Officer
As Chief Information Officer Randy brings an extensive data background along with his experience as President & C.E.O of a venture financed by endowment funds from a prestigious university highly regarded in both business and technical disciplines, Randy brings the diverse skills needed to manage the My Mobile Witness network.
Randy's duties include overseeing programming, engineering of software, network development as well as maintaining the security, scalability and functionality of the company's network.
Randy holds an MBA from Duquesne University and a B.A. from Grove City College.
Jonathan Tenkley, Director of Online and Social Media
Jonathan brings his experience in advertising and design to the online and social media presence of My Mobile Witness. Jonathan utilizes the web as a tool for branding and works to establish relationships and build an online presence for My Mobile Witness. Jonathan design experience ranges from pioneering the personalization of electronic mobile devices to art direction and advertising campaigns for Proctor & Gamble and Gillette. Jonathan holds a degree from the Art Institute or Pittsburgh.
Todd Caughey, Board of Advisors
With 20 years as a State Trooper for one of ten largest police forces in the country, Todd brings a wide variety of experience and knowledge to his role as a Board of Advisor member.
Todd’s role in helping to shape the product and how My Mobile Witness can best serve law enforcement has helped create an organizational structure which allows our service to act as a both a credible threat for subscribers and a valuable tool for law enforcement.
Todd’s diverse experience includes training new troopers recently graduated from the academy, working undercover and 15 years as a Field Training Officer.
Jeff Durosko, Board of Advisors
Jeff is an award winning writer and communications professional managing all My Mobile Witness communications needs. With experience in public relations, marketing communications, corporate communications and journalism, Jeff has worked with the nation's top agencies, such as Burson-Marsteller and Ketchum, and in senior level communications positions with corporate and not-for-profit organizations including Education Management Corporation, Robert Morris University, the Greater Pittsburgh Office of Promotion and Price Waterhouse.
Gloria Blint, Board of Advisors
Gloria provides advice and guidance on women’s issues and how My Mobile Witness can best serve our female users. During her 25 years in the advertising industry, Gloria has worked with a wide array of prestigious clients such as Welch Foods, Apple Computer, McDonald's Restaurants and Education Management Corporation. She has guided strategic communications consulting for many human service organizations and initiatives, such as the Blackburn Center Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Force of 16 (a collaboration of 16 domestic and sexual violence centers, Vision of Hope Fund (child sexual abuse initiative), Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape/Hero Project and Contact Pittsburgh. Gloria’s contributions to My Mobile Witness include reaching out to these and other non-profits to communicate our message of proactive deterrence.
Audie Rubin, Board of Advisors
Audie's background is in the use of technology by end-users inside and outside of the field of education. Audie has partnered with Sun Microsystems and Microsoft to develop educational change initiatives in the States as well as in Japan and Australia.
He has been a pioneer in online learning for grades K-12 throughout the state of Colorado.
Audie holds an M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado, Denver and B.A. in Liberal Studies from San Jose State University.
