Primary Purpose: All information collected is used exclusively to facilitate the transmission of tips to appropriate law enforcement agencies and fusion centers.
Specific Uses Include:
- Routing tips to the appropriate State Fusion Centers and law enforcement agencies
- Geo-tagging submissions to ensure proper jurisdictional routing
- Enabling law enforcement to follow up on credible tips when necessary
- Sending you critical safety alerts for your geographic area
- Improving app functionality and user experience
- Complying with legal obligations and law enforcement requests
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
Law Enforcement Sharing
When you submit a tip through the application, your information (including name, phone number, and tip content) is immediately transmitted to:
- The appropriate State Fusion Center based on geographic location
- Relevant federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies as determined by the Fusion Center
- Intelligence and homeland security organizations as appropriate
We DO NOT:
- Sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties
- Use your information for marketing or advertising purposes
- Share your information with commercial entities
- Actively track your location when the app is not in use

THIS APPLICATION IS NOT FOR EMERGENCIES
If you need immediate police, fire, or medical assistance, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY. The See Something Send Something® app is for non-emergency suspicious activity reporting only.
8. International Users
This application is intended for use within the United States and its territories. Information submitted through the app is processed and stored in the United States and shared with U.S. law enforcement agencies.
